Environment and Sustainability

As a specialist in the field of climate control, the Nijburg Industry Group is committed to the climate and future generations. In recent years, there has been a shift to sustainability in many facets within the Nijburg Industry Group.

Recently, the organization was largely centralized to a new head office in Westerbroek, which is completely energy-neutral. The variety of different departments in one building has increased our efficiency and has a beneficial effect on our fleet.

Developments

Every day we ensure that our products are delivered to our clients on time. We work closely with our own transporter. This allows us to cluster as many orders as possible and develop efficient driving routes, which will have a favorable effect on CO2 emissions. In addition, we focus on the development of energy-efficient solutions and we set specific targets for our packaging material. Such as, for example, the use of 87 % to 100 % recyclable packaging material in 2022. Our environmental objectives are managed and guaranteed by the environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001 and the CO2 performance ladder.

Circularity & Sustainability

To limit the impact of its business activities on the environment as much as possible, the Nijburg Industry Group has taken a large number of measures and many improvement projects are planned. Many steps have already been taken when it comes to limiting the use of (primary) raw materials. For example, consider:

  • Optimization of product design so that less material is needed and a lighter, more efficient product is delivered.
  • Limiting waste (during production) through good coordination and production in batches.
  • Using recycled materials as raw materials where possible.
