Privacy statement

This is the privacy statement of Nijburg Industry Group and its subsidiaries Solid Air Climate Solutions, Solid Air International, Solid Air Climate Ceilings, Velu Klimaattechnische Groothandel, Nijburg Climate Technology and Nijburg Products (hereinafter also: NIG). The privacy statement applies to all products and services that NIG offers.

The way in which we process personal data is in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The party responsible for the processing of your personal data is Nijburg Industrie, Scheepswerfweg 1, 9608 PD Westerbroek (Chamber of Commerce number 02329889).

Processing personal data
In this privacy statement we explain which personal data we collect and for what purposes we use it. We do this based on the different ways in which we obtain personal data.

NIG is always working to optimize and renew its products/services. We therefore also use the personal data we obtain for analysis purposes and to adjust and improve our services. We try to personalize our communications where possible and permitted. Personal data can also be used to prevent fraud and to secure our websites, apps, products and services.

NIG processes your personal data for the following purposes:

Your visit to a NIG website
NIG offers several websites. If you use NIG websites, we collect personal data in order to provide you with proper assistance. For example, we use cookies and scripts to improve the functioning of the websites. Some NIG websites use cookies and similar techniques to recognize and track you online, monitor your click and mouse behavior and create profiles based on your behavior on the website. Third parties also place cookies on our websites. In the cookie statement of NIG, you can read which cookies are placed for what purposes and by which parties.

A newsletter
If you sign up for a newsletter, we register your e-mail address and, if necessary, other personal data. We use this personal data to send you the newsletters for which you have registered or for which NIG suspects that you may be interested. You can easily unsubscribe from our newsletters at any time.

Creating an account
It is possible to create an account on some NIG websites, such as the Velu webshop and the Solid Air selection tool. To create an account, enter your name and email address (your login details). With an account you only have to log in on your next visit and do not have to enter your personal data again. It can also be seen whether you are a customer of ours and on that basis have access to certain services or parts of the website that are only available to customers. In addition, we can offer you the opportunity to post messages on the website based on your login details, adapted to your personal preferences. We can enrich your login details with information we have about you as a customer or newsletter recipient. We do this to be able to recognize you as a customer or newsletter recipient.

The use of social media
NIG can be found on various social media such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube. When you follow us on social media, we may gain access to some of your profile information. This depends on your settings on these social media platforms. NIG can track how many times a particular article has been shared and “liked” across social media to analyze an article’s reach. NIG can use (marketing) services of third parties, such as Facebook. In this way, NIG can target a specific target group on social media. To this end, NIG can provide encrypted e-mail addresses to third parties, so that these parties can approach people specifically for NIG’s marketing campaigns. In certain cases, NIG offers you the option to log in via Facebook for certain services, such as for our selection tools. To this end, NIG obtains contact information from Facebook, such as name and email address and may also include public profile information. If so, when you log in via Facebook you will see which data we obtain via Facebook. You can adjust your preferences through your Facebook account settings. Communications from NIG
NIG likes to keep you informed about news, product and organizational developments of NIG. We do this mainly by e-mail and will be tailored as much as possible to your preferences and interests when they are known to us. NIG processes contact details (including name and e-mail address) and possible interest data (whether or not based on behavior on the website) for e-mail newsletters.

You can always easily unsubscribe from (online) communication from NIG. Every message you receive from NIG tells you how to do that.

Recipients of Personal Data

Group of companies
NIG may exchange personal data with its subsidiary(ies) in the context of responsible, efficient and effective business operations. In this context, its subsidiaries can also exchange personal data with each other. These exchanges take place in particular for the following activities:

Processors
NIG can use the services of third parties to process your data in accordance with this privacy statement, for example technical service providers. These third parties act as processors for NIG and we ensure that these parties offer sufficient guarantees with regard to the technical and organizational security measures. NIG enters into a processing agreement with these third parties who act as processors for NIG, which include, among other things, that they will only process personal data on behalf of NIG.

Security
NIG takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. The NIG websites use a reliable SSL Certificate to ensure that your personal data does not fall into the wrong hands.

Data leaks
NIG does its utmost to prevent data breaches. Should a data leak nevertheless occur, NIG will follow its data leak protocol and, if necessary, report it to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Your rights
You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You can send a request for inspection, correction or deletion to mail@nijburg.nl. Nijburg will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.

Retention periods
Personal data is not kept longer than is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or processed. NIG sets retention periods for each purpose and category of data. When determining retention periods, NIG takes into account statutory retention periods and decisions of the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Amendments
NIG reserves the right to change this privacy statement. Make sure that you are aware of the privacy statement that applies at that time every time you use our services. We can inform you of important changes via our website.

Personal data that is processed
Nijburg Industry Group (hereinafter referred to as NIG), may process personal data about you, because you use the services of NIG, and/or because you provide this information to NIG when you fill in a contact form on the website. NIG can process the following personal data:

Why we need your data

Mapping website visits
General visitor data is recorded on the NIG website, www.nijburg.nl, including the IP address of your computer and the time of retrieval and data that your browser sends. This data is used for analyzes of visit and click behavior on the website. NIG uses this information to improve the functioning of the website. This data is anonymized as much as possible and is not provided to third parties.

Google Analytics
NIG uses Google Analytics to keep track of how users use the website and how effective NIG Adwords ads are on Google search result pages.
