Fire dampers
Fire dampers are installed in ventilation ducts that pass through fire-rated walls and floors. In the event of a fire, they automatically close to prevent the spread of flames, smoke and hot gases through the ductwork, helping to maintain the integrity of fire compartments and protect building occupants. Solid Air International fire dampers have been extensively tested and classified in accordance with EN 1366-2 and EN 13501-3 and are CE marked in compliance with EN 15650:2010. We also lead the way in fire damper installation and the fire-stopping of wall and floor penetrations, using the latest installation techniques, including widely specified high-density stone wool board systems.
